Tuesday is the first day of the week, right?

So I basically slept through Monday. Monday is dead, long live Tuesday.

Today I did a vaguely St. Patrick's Day themed manicure. Basically it's green. But I did water marbling

I used A-England St George, Nails Inc Ascot and Models Own Beetle Juice Golden Green.

And knitting wise the back of the Baby Poonam seemed never ending. But I ended it:

Friday

I've been asleep for a lot of the day thanks to yesterday's adventures with narcotics. So a short post today/Monday as it now is. That was basically it, except I sewed the reinforcing onto the button bands on my Roseling. Which I then took pictures of over the weekend:

It's Thursday - honest!

Yeah, morphine happened. I think I shall leave that particular topic there though. So other things...

I have made significant progress on my Baby Poonam now

And I received the first package of my other yarn club for the year (two, spoilt!) from Posh Yarn. It's a random yarn club so everyone gets something different which Dee has been matching to our tastes as best as possible. This instalment was two matching skeins and I got Gretchen 4ply (55% BFL 45% Silk)

I like it so much that I cast on a Haruni straight away

Way Too Early Wednesday

Today I have had (yet another) blood test. So it was all the way to the furthest hospital in the city and back at 8am this morning. Yawn. Only took two attempts to bleed me though - hurray!

On to more interesting things. I got new nail polish today from Models Own

From left to right: Deep Purple, Beetle Juice Golden Green, Beetle Juice Pink Brown, Matte Black and Beetle Juice Purple Blue.

I'm currently wearing the Purple Blue and oh my Bob I love it. So much you're getting three photos to see all the different colours in it

(Whoa! Ginormothumb!)

And knitting wise I have cast on a Baby Poonam for my friend's baby due this Summer

Finishing Tuesday

I am off Sleeve Island! (as we have been calling it in the Posh Knitters group on Ravelry) My cardigan is finished and blocking. But since that finished at 10pm last night I didn't have time to blog. But here it is in all its blocking glory:

My Roseling! All it needs now is the reinforcing ribbon on the insides of the button band and the buttons sewing on and it's completely, totally done. I cunningly already wove the ends in. Get me and me foresight. But yes, that was my Tuesday, Sleeve Island escaping :D

Monday Monday

Hungover again so again lots of sleep.

A bit of knitting logic from the weekend though. I really, really want to knit a Colour Affection. But I'm running out of needle cables and the needle tips I need for the shawl are on my Roseling. Now I like my Roseling, it's a nice cardigan, but I've steeked it now so all interest has disappeared and it's just monotonous sleeve knitting left. So in order to ever actual finish the project I'm making myself finish it off before I can use the needles for my Colour Affection. This is very dull, but I'm hoping will lead to some sort of sense of fulfilment when I've actually finished the damned thing.

So mostly today I've been knitting dull sleeve.

But my day took a remarkably cheery turn when a mysterious parcel arrived. It was yarn from the lovely Knitosaurusrex, which she sent me because it looked too me to belong to anyone else. Thank you again!

Alas this did add extra incentive to avoid my sleeve and cast on socks but I have remained strong. So far.

Hungover Friday

So after the morphine inevitably comes the hangover. It's like a cross between a really mild case of cold turkey and an actual hangover. Bleurgh!

So yesterday I mostly slept, but I did a couple of things

1. A new manicure to replace the chipped one. It is not a good job, wonky and overlapped and pretty rubbish but I didn't have the energy to redo it so it stands as is

2. I knitted a couple of rows on my latest Pretty as a Peacock. It doesn't look like much pre-blocking but I've added the photo anyway

And MrDemon rescued the latest instalment of the Discworld yarn club I'm in - When Granny Weatherwax Knits Socks - from the parcel office

Lousy Thursday

Today I woke up in a significant amount of pain and have ended up taking 50mg of morphine. So not much of interest to mention.

1. I've done a few rows on my Making Waves

2. I've chipped a nail on my pretty new manicure *sad*. But on the plus side that means I get to play with more of my new nail stamping plates tomorrow

3. I started sewing my cake pincushion kit I got in a Posh Ravelry swap

But I had to stop after a few seams because I couldn't see well enough with the morphine fuzzy vision

4. And finally I sorted out my side table with the aid of my new mini set of drawers

Lulu (my smallest cat, she's just under one year old) is quite grumpy with me because now she can't use my various knitting tools as toys.

Wednesday 0th March

1. I was up early today to get some prescription repeats renewed at the Doctors, and I took (one of) my current knitting projects - the Making Waves cardigan. I got a few rows knitted whilst waiting but I haven't touched it for the rest of the day. Being made to wake up early does not equal getting more stuff done. But here is the progress on the raglan so far:

and link to my Rav project

2. It seems I lounged around and read the internet for a long time today because it wasn't until this afternoon that I started on redoing my nails. I now have a very Spring-y green leaves and purple flowers manicure.

I used:
Zoya Tangy
Leaves stamped with plate BM19 and Nails Inc Ascot
Roses BM14, blossoms BM10 with Models Own Purple Mystique

3. Then finally this evening I redesigned and resurrected this blog
